Sophie is blessed with a very good friend, Nathaniel, since Cherrybrook days. And I'm thankful his mum and his two younger brothers can get along with us as well. During the holidays, his mum helped me enrol Sophie in the holiday programmes organised by Skylace Language School. This year, she managed to convince the school to take the pair in for the 4-day holiday programme meant for P3 - P5. On the first day, we even arranged a playdate for the two at our place after lunch at Pastamania.
The kids were really looking forward to their playdate. They jumped from game to game, trying to make full use of their time together. By the time Nathaniel went home, Sophie and Alfee were exhausted and ready to go to bed without even taking their dinner.
The last day of the workshop was mainly used for filming and editing. Because both of them are young, their script was much shorter than the rest of the children.
Even then, I am quite proud that they were able to say their lines rather smoothly… in Mandarin!
The school gave us all a copy of the video clips and sent us pictures of them during the filming. Sophie was more excited about the NGs and process then the actually outcome. And that's exactly what I thought was important as well.
