Ship Of Shapes

It has become quite impossible to take any video clips of Sophie doing her crafts (I need both hands to prevent her from eating the art materials!). So, I had to make do with just pictures whenever I could spare a limb.

Anyway, today I read Sophie Pirates by Viviana Garofoli before letting her paint the sails and body of the ship. Of course, she got very excited and started smearing paint all over the blue paper (not intended). I also try letting her do collage again... Well, she tried her best not to rip all the tissue paper off (only some... most...) after we had pasted them onto the blue paper.

After that, I cut out the triangles, rectangles, square, circle and trapezium to paste onto the blue paper for her. Last but never the least, I let her play with glitter glue...

Sophie In Ecstacy

So, what do you do with a dirty baby? I took Sophie down to the pool for a dip, of course! After all, how could we not play in the water when we had just made a ship? But not to worry, I washed her up before we went into the pool...
