Perth - Day 6

Our apartment was luxurious and well equipped with what we needed. There was even an Alfresco dinning area at the balcony. The kids woke up to a good variety of children's programmes on TV. It was near impossible to pull them away and head out.

We spent the day at Perth Zoo. Although it wasn't too big, it was pleasant because of the space, low density and weather. By now, the kids were getting tired so we slowed down a little and let them rest. 

We next stopped by a beach. We were ill prepared for beach activities but that didn't stop our kids from playing on the sand. It's amazing how kids play with whatever they can find. Or perhaps it's the company they have? 

Grocery shopping has become our staple family activity, just like ice-cream in our diet. I actually like those huge supermarkets here because I get to see many things not sold in Singapore. 

Perth - Day 5

Parting with the farmhouse was a little hard. We enjoyed the time we spent together in that cottage and the kids love the animals. We have always craved for more room to run about and this place was perfect in terms of space.

We spent the remaining hours outside after we bid our hosts goodbye. For them, new guests were arriving in the afternoon and we were just passing clouds. For us, Settler's Rest would always be in our fond memories. 

The rest of the day passed by rather quickly. We drove to the city, grabbed some food, groceries and checked into our next service apartment - Verandah Apartments.
