Painting

I always believe that proper art equipment and facilities (correct technique also, but not so applicable to young children and open-ended art or free expression) can make a lot of difference in the end product. I got Auntie Ann to bring in a set of paint cups and matching brushes from Amazon for me. Before anyone start to raise their eyebrows, I must clarify that I have never seen this particular set in Singapore market and existing models (sets of 4 to 6 cups) are expensive as well.

Sophie was so thrilled to start using the cups for painting. For the first time, she could not mix all the colours together (no palette!) and her works look a lot better. She could also put the brushes back into their cups according to their colours. Double the fun! I am leaving the cups (with covers) out so that she could paint more freely. The only problem is she cannot mix the paint and learn about secondary colours.
