Without fail, Sophie would pretend to be the magician “Mindfreak” whenever she had a pair of glasses at the dining table with the fan turned on. Papa had shown her only once and she remembers for life! Frankly, I waS not very thrilled to see it but Papa seemed to be very proud of himself...
I used pipecleaners to make Sophie the "goofy" glasses. She was so eager to wear it that I could not snip off the sides fast enough. In the end, she called herself "Komodo" which is a character in Animal Mechanical.
We did "gooey ghosts" with feet and hands next. I mixed white glue with white paint and shaving cream for the puffy effect. Sophie was definitely not thrilled to have her hands and feet placed in the mixture. Luckily, we still managed to get a few good prints. Too bad I could not really capture her in action because I needed all my hands and feet to manage her.Sophie loves plastic eyes, somehow. I did not really explain what ghosts were because I thought they are too complex to explain at her age.
We were done for the time being. We needed the "ghosts" to dry completely before cutting them out and pasting them on a night scenery.
