After the kids' swimming lesson, we headed to First Culinary Restaurant at ITE (AMK) for lunch. We love the fact that it's never crowded.
The kids then took a quick nap before we took them to Joan's birthday bash at Monk's Hill. Joan is Sophie's good friend when she was still in Cherrybrook. Now, Julia (Joan's sister) is Alfee's good friend in school too. Like Sophie, Joan and Julia are allergic to many foods and their mum is really knowledgeable in food and nutrition.
The dads took turns to read to the children and I must say, we were all very impressed that the children sat through the session very well.
The piñata was also a tough game to play for the children. The poor unicorn was physically abused for a long time before it finally released the goodies inside.
Around 5 pm, everyone was gathered around to sing Joan a birthday song. Patrick, Nat's dad, played the tune on the piano. Instantly, he was invited to play in the dads' band.
The children took many pictures with the Polaroid camera. In fact, it was so easy to use that we considered buying one for the kids. We soon changed our minds when we saw how quickly the films were used up.

We left the party and went to Ah Boh's new place for dinner. It's a nice cosy place near the MRT station and food joints. It's also nearer to our place so we can visit more often now.
