POSB Passion Run For Kids 2013

Ah Boh signed us up for the POSB Passion Run For Kids 2013. It's a 3.5 km family walk but we knew  that the kids would never make it through the walk.

It was drizzling when we set off around 8.30am. The kids looked very adorable in their t-shirts and they were all hyped up about 'running'.

True enough, we were barely 10 metres from the starting point and Alfee wanted me to carry him. Then Sophie became whiny and grouchy. We had to stop many times to give them biscuits, seaweed and chocolates to get them going. At some point, we realised there were nobody behind us and we panicked. We put both kids on the pram and pushed ourselves forward to avoid being last!

In fact, the competitive trait was so strong in Sophie that she actually dashed for the last 10-15 metres. I was still struggling to get Alfee to move without pretending to fall or run out of energy like Ultraman. According to Papa, Sophie was very fast and he was very proud.

We thought of going home to shower before heading out for lunch, but the kids were tired and hungry so we just ate at Ding Tai Fung. It was rare that I got to watch my kids eat with gusto. They must be really famished! Although I am not a fan of Ding Tai Fung, I am definitely going back there with my kids! I was so happy they eat that much!

We took the rest of the day easy. After we bathed, all except Sophie slept. She was reading on her pretty pink bed quietly. What a peaceful and relaxing afternoon. By the time we are up and about again, it was dinnertime already.
