Just Another Sunday...

Okay, our day started out as normal in the morning... but today, we have quite a hectic schedule... we had to quickly feed Sophie lunch before heading for Marina Square.

"Mama... I wanna watch POCOYO!!!"

"Have I got everything???"

"Sophie, not a koala anymore..."

Sophie's upper front teeth are coming out so she has been super cranky and difficult to please. We had a really tough time when we were at Marine Square (Spegeddies), trying to handle her while eating our lunch. Naughty girl, she could not keep still at all!

Fortunately, Kar Keng taught me to how to occupy Sophie's time in a restaurant. I tried it out, got her a straw and it worked!!!

"Thank God, there's straw!!!"

For a while anyway... so I gave her my fingers instead.

"Yummy!"

Worse still, time for her milk. She is so used to drinking her afternoon milk lying down that she refused to drink in her highchair. Desperate times call for desperate measures... I put her down on the seat and force fed her... My back nearly broke as a result... mission accomplished at last!

After our most difficult lunch, we went to Kiddy Palace for our long awaited Combi stroller. I had been begging papa for a light weight stroller and we were finally getting it. It cost $300 plus but we managed to get some discount. Yes, yes...I know, I am fast becoming "pinkyanak"... what to do???

"Trying to adjust for maximum comfort... Hmm... feels nice!"

Almost forgot to buy Sophie some baby food... She has been eating "Organic Baby" bottled food after her last LS episode. I have a bit of cooking phobia because somehow I must have done something that caused her to have diarrhea. In any case, she likes the food so I will give her that for the time being... Not cheap leh... $2 plus per bottle... but taste good.

Now that we have got the stroller and Sophie's food, time to head for Imperial Treasure Restaurant (Teochew Cuisine) at Takashimaya for Ah Mah's 70th birthday dinner. Ah Gong wanted to give Ah Mah a surprise so he called me and I arranged to have the dinner.

"So loving..."

It was like a reunion dinner because we had not seen my brother and his family since Chinese New Year in February.

My niece is all grown up and really tall... for a K1 girl. Sadly, she did not quite feel comfortable with us so she was quite grouchy.

Sophie was cranky too. Her teeth was really bugging her so she could not "socialise" as usual.

"Mama... where's my food??"

"Hi...Ah Goo"

"Taking a picture with cousin Zixin... do I really have to???"

You think the day was done? Not likely... with Taka Baby Fair going on today. How could we miss that? We went for a spin and bought Sophie some diapers, among other things... before we called it a day and head home.... phew!

"Hmm...toys.... mama, I want...."

"I don't need shoes, mama... you carry me!"

"Mama... I'm tired... can we go home now?"
