Sophie is fast growing up right before us... yesterday, I was trying to feed her brown rice paste and she seemed to recognised it by its colour even before she tasted it. She peered into the bowl, frowned and started shaking her head. Aiya... she used to like it, now it is too blend for her Royal Highness. She wants more variety of taste and texture to her food.
As she is still unwell, I have been carrying her around to restrict her movement and prevent her from gasping for breath. I was drinking a glass of water, with her in my arms, when she reached for my glass. I asked her if she would like to take a sip and offered her my glass. She took it instantly, of course spiling most of the water on her clothes, but she drank from a glass! Like what the Montessori book that I read suggests, 9-mth-olds can learn to drink from shot glasses. Come to think of it, she did drink from a cup when she was a few days old then... And she is starting to grab her spoon and bowl from me... I think it is time to let her start feeding herself...
haaaa....seems like babies at this age love to grab..haaa...
