Sick Day No. 3

Auntie Gina came to visit Sophie and mama in the evening yesterday. She commented that Sophie seemed very sturdy when she stood and jumped on her lap. I thinks so too. Perhaps she will start walking very soon since she is already taking small steps (sideways) when she hangs on to the play yard panels... Auntie Gina also shared with me stories about her nieces and nephews... gave me a bit of pressure actually. Reuben (I think), is doing ABC's everyday and able to say ''elephant" long ago... and he is only 18 mths.

Last night, Sophie suddenly pursed her lips and uttered "Ba..Ba" very deliberately and slowly, as if she was trying to sound it out for the first time. After that, she was unstoppable... kept saying "Ba... ba" in front of papa. I think that was the first time I heard that from her. Until now, she had been saying "Ma... Ma", "Mum... Mum..", "waa... waa.." etc. YES! She is sounding more and more like a teochew! Sorry papa... she is more of a "Teochew Ah Nia". I remembered the last time she had very bad nappy rash, papa teased her... saying she is half teochew so "teochew nang ka cheng ang ang"... well, that's that!
