"Baeday"

Okay... so I have married myself to a Hainanese family for almost 3 years. I still have not learnt much of the language. Since Sophie is a half-Hainanese, of course I would like her to speak the dialect. Sophie has to address papa's younger brother as "Baeday" instead of "Uncle Simon"; just as she addresses papa's elder sister as "Ah Boh" and papa's mama "Naenae".

This evening, we decided to have our dinner at Thomson Plaza where Uncle Simon works (YAMAHA). Now, while Uncle Simon loves his little niece and all... he had NEVER carried her. Must be Sophie's lucky day cos he finally did it (after 9 months)! YEAH! So I quickly grabbed my phone camera... Hahaha...

Since Baeday is a musician cum piano/guitar teacher, we have booked him to teach Sophie when she is older. It is never too early, right?
