As usual, I started out planning to make a couple of paper mache fruit for Sophie, but ended up with only one. It took me a few days to finish it because the glue on each layer had to be completely dried before I could work on the next layer. Fortunately, I "cheated" by using gum paper for the first layer. That toughened up the newspaper quite significantly so I did not need to put too many layers of kitchen towel after that.
We first heard the song from Play School (Australian Network). Sophie loved it so much that I searched YouTube for it. To my surprise, the one we had heard was a much shorter version. The original one is wonderfully catchy and enjoyable. Sophie has her own version too!
