No, I am still uncomfortable with letting Sophie feed herself despite all the protests from her and warnings from "everyone else in the world". However, the above picture that I have taken yesterday gave me peek of the future to come. I doubt we can contain Sophie much longer. She could easily climb in and out of the highchair using a stool. We went to get her proper stainless steel fork and spoon in anticipation of more self feeding from now on.
I am more at ease with Sophie feeding herself during breakfast due to the nature of the food. Porridge is messy and too hot. THis morning, she tried to eat french toast and tomatoes using her fork. I think she is getting much better at it. Age probably plays an important part since she is almost 30 months old (11 June).
And the funny thing is that kids will regress to wanting us to feed them when they can self feed very well. ;)
