Sophie's Twah Yee

No one ever asked if I miss my sister. I guess it is easy to assume that I have got over how lung cancer took her life after a 4-year battle. After all, we were never close... until the last few months of her life. Ah Mah told me yesterday that she has not been listening to music or watching TV since my sister's death 7 years ago because she would think of her and start to cry. I looked away when I saw tears welling up in her tired eyes... How insensitive, I kicked myself but the truth was - my eyes were teary too! I do miss my sister and sometimes, I wish Sophie could get to know her Twah Yee. She would have loved Sophie dearly. As a mother myself now, I know how Ah Mah feels... A part of her must have died with my sister, her first born, 7 years ago...
