All About Today

I have introduced a new morning routine to Sophie and I call it the "All About Today" routine (the first thing we will do when she wakes up). Essentially, it aims to teach Sophie the concept of time, date (day and month), season and weather. I intend to start with arousing her interest by putting up the pieces with her in my arms while explaining what I am doing. Then, we will progress to letting her put up the pieces herself (with some help of course). In the future, I will lower it so that she can do it while standing on her own. Hopefully, she will soon grasp sequencing of numbers, days and months etc. (maybe another year or so...). By then, she will be able to complete the task without my help.
