'Tis our... I mean... Sophie's first MIM - Jump Start lesson at Learning Horizon. Oh boy, it was tough! The lesson coincided with her morning naptime so she was quite edgy throughout the 45 min. She was also very attracted to the new "toys" in the classroom so she tried to grab almost everything everywhere.
Poor Mama and Papa had to chase after her. Other children seemed to be nicely nested in their parents' arms and laps... Why can't I even keep Sophie still for a minute? I think she must be the youngest among the children so perhaps not so ready for formal lesson.
At one point, Sophie was really excited about the rubber balls. She tried to get the teacher to play with her but to no avail. She turned her attention to one of the parents next. She literally sat in front of a mother, bounced the ball to her and waited for her to pass the ball back. Then when she got the ball back, she bounced it to the toddler next to her. She did it repeatedly and when the toddler tried to grab the ball intended for his mother, Sophie yelled at him (as if telling him off).
Finally, Sophie grew really tired and allowed us to carry her in our arms. Even then, she struggled. All in all, we were super tired by the end of the lesson... Unfortunately, I had a church wedding to attend so Papa had to take care of cranky Sophie all by himself...
Yalor... hopefully things will get better.
