Soccer @ The Botanic Gardens

The Chinese New Year has destroyed much of our almost already established sleep routine for Sophie. She cannot nap well in the day and she wakes up too early.

Desperate and tired, we decided to take her out to the Botanic Gardens for some fresh air and perhaps tire her out enough to induce a good night's sleep. We stopped at a field to let Sophie walk and play soccer with Papa.

We told Sophie to go after the bird and to our surprise, she did just that! She kept walking towards the bird, but she was so slow that it did not even bother to fly away from her... Occasionally, Sophie would also appear "running" in a particular direction... Actually, she was going downhill and she could not stop herself at all.

After spending almost an hour at the field, we headed for home. It was quite a walk back, especially when we were all tired and hot. However, seeing Sophie run amok was really fun and I think she really needed to run around freely, every once in a while.
