AMK Community Library

Finally, I took Sophie to AMK Community Library. I made her a library card and borrowed 4 books home. It was tough to take her to the library, every step of the way... I had to carry her to the bus stop at Yio Chu Kang MRT Station, then take a bus (3 stops away) and then walk from the bus stop to the library.

At the library, the silly librarian wanted my NRIC and Sophie's BC to create the membership. I was appalled because I read from the website that I only need to bring my NRIC. I kept repeating what I read from the website to him and he kept repeating he needed Sophie's BC. It probably would not have ended if not for his colleague's intervention. She told him BC was optional. HA! My hands were almost at his throat!

And Sophie was not exactly cooperative at the Children's Section. She ran around the shelves and grabbing any books along the way. In the end, I just held on to her and left the library with 4 books home. Okay, it was an experience for us... Of course, I forgot all about the overhead bridge on the way to the bus stop to come back. By the time we came home, I was all flushed and dehydrated. Sophie was not much better, all tired and cranky. The rest of the evening and night was for us to recuperate... Papa, not very sympathetic, just said, "Next time, DRIVE lah!".
