Story Time!

Sophie has never been a "lap" baby even though she enjoys hugging, kissing and touching us. Thus, we can never cuddle in bed while we read her bedtime stories. So, we have to put her in the cot bed if we want to read to her.

Sometimes, she would ignore us and do her own thing with the stuff toys in her cot bed... But lately, she seems to be rather responsive. Maybe she is trying to learn how to speak (look at the way she watched my lips and move hers).

I have been reading her Alphatales and "concept" books, one letter and two concepts for each nap she takes and I repeat the same thing for the week. Today is the last day of the week for the letters "J", "K", and "L" and the concepts of opposites and colours. Tomorrow, she will be listening to the letters "M", "N", and "O" with the concepts of numbers (1, 2, 3 ...) and sequence positions (First, Second, Third...). Too bad Mama is not that fantastic in reading... To think that my ex-pupils used to enjoy listening to my reading!
