Letter Of The Week - "a" For apple

Initially, I did not want to make a small "a" for Letter of the Week because I was afraid that Sophie might be confused. However, Auntie Jessy asked me about using "apple" to make a craft for the letter so I thought about it and decided to let Sophie learn both forms together this week. Here is our "a", using the shape of an apple... not the best way, but the only I can think of so far.

I let Sophie try doing art out of her highchair this morning. So far so good, she did not create her "masterpiece" all over. Again I used a cereal box to draw out the letter "a", but I reduced its size deliberately to show its relative size in writing.

Then I included the "stalk" and leaves, occasionally getting Sophie to scribble on the "apple". Once it was completed, I cut it out and pasted it onto a construction paper (lower part).
