'Tis Monday again and we made the letter "B" in the shape of a butterfly for Letter of the Week. I was toying with the idea of either a bee or a butterfly and decided it would be better to make the latter. I wanted to keep the "B" as close to the original form as possible so that Sophie can recognise it.
With our cereal box, I cut out the outline of "B" (wings) and the "body" of the butterfly. Then I painted it white so that the butterfly would look more vibrant in colour. However, Sophie must have thought that she should not paint on the white surface (already painted) so she kept "attacking" the brown areas.
When we were done with the painting, I helped Sophie apply glitter glue on the "body" and attached the rest of its body parts onto the "wings". After that, we left it aside to dry thoroughly before she pasted the circle labels onto the "wings" and I added the black rings on the "body".
End Product - "B" For Butterfly
