After our evening seatwork, Alfee wanted to draw. Thus, I gave hime some rough paper and he started to draw circles and spirals with his ink pen. He was clearly enjoying himself so much that he did five of such drawings.
Then he went to our paper cabinet and took out a foam sheet. Sophie protested and told him he wasn't allowed to use foam sheet for drawing. I usually agree since I reserve foam sheet for more meaningful craft work. However, I thought these foam sheets have been around forever and we are better off using them than storing them. Thus, I gave Alfee a permanent marker to draw on the foam sheet. Sophie took the opportunity to request for one as well. Of course I couldn't refuse her.
Before long, they were having a blast drawing on foam sheet. I suppose the texture was smooth and cushiony so they found it a very refreshing experience. And Alfee attempted to draw his favourite Ultraman Taro. He even included two horns! Then Sophie, as his beloved big sister, told him she would draw one for him. She completed it with a speech bubble!
Just when I thought it was time to clean up and call it a day, Alfee wanted to paint with his old infant toothbrush. The bristles made cool markings but the little man prefers to make thick blots of paint instead.
