Loopy Paint

Actually, the idea was simple - paint some loopy lines and fill in the spaces with paint. I even did a demo in hope that they would be inspired to do the art piece. However, they found it hard to draw a continuous line that creates spaces large enough to be filled in with paint. After several fruitless attempts and 15 minutes, I decided that the project should be aborted. They were terribly disappointed that they couldn't paint, so I drew the loopy lines for them, using pencil.

Sophie did it entirely on her own. She was trying very hard to keep the paint within the spaces. I'm actually glad she could finish without much problem. I gave it the finishing touch of the bold black line though.

Alfee needed a lot more help. I had to encourage him to fill up the spaces with specific colours. But I must say I'm surprised with his fine motor skills. He's actually quite able to keep the paint within the spaces. Again, I had to paint the black line for him.

Tomorrow we will try something they are more ready for, I hope. I just have to modify the project a little.
