The kids stayed home today. Alfee is recovering from a stomach flu and Sophie has got runny nose. But those were the only reasons for staying away from the crowd. I think they need to stay home and do home-based activities. I don't want them to grow up thinking that 'home' is place for rest only or it's boring and uneventful. I hope they appreciate the 'home' as an extension of their self and appreciate its existence.
I bought the kids some slime from Spotlight. I thought it would be good sensory toy, an alternative to Playdough or Moondough. The slime is cold and jelly-like. The kids loved it.
After playing with it, I told Sophie to write her experience. It was really hard to get her to do anything nowadays. She asked me what to write, but when I suggested to her, she wanted to write something else. I told it was ok to write something else and she asked me again what to write. By the end of the session, I was ready to throttle her.
