"K" For Kites

Last night after she fell asleep, Papa sat on the floor of Sophie's playroom without turning the fan on. With his lanky torso crouching into a semi-circle and his brows cringing in full concentration, he spent an hour cutting shapes from plastic lunch bags to make Sophie kites. Hahaha!

As a follow-up activity, I made Sophie kites for her to play (with Papa's help). After the diamond shapes are cut from plastic lunch bags, I glued straws over them and attached a string (tail) onto each kite. The number of "bows" on each string corresponds with the number written on each kite, just like the "ball" stickers and words. I intend to start introducing Sophie to numbers 1 to 5. I wonder how to get her to understand the concept of counting...

  1. Wah u really got lots of ideas. I always get my gals to count things ard them. Like family members, birds they see, cars, etc
