Papa said that his art was always the "talk of the town" during his school days. My art was not too good at all when I was younger... My teacher in kindergarten once commented that my self-portrait was like "a ghost" and I knew she meant we were both ugly. But I feel that Papa is rather bold in his style and he has very little restraint. I tend to thnk too much in my art. Wonder how Sophie's style will be like...
Oh yes, sophie's papa & ah boh used to take part in "drawing competitions" when we were young. Considering the fact that we were never "trained" by the experts in that area - I can honestly say that we didnt fare too badly (tho we never did win in any competition). Maybe is the "Loy" thing - uncle Simon draws very well too (tho left handed) - I think the "artsy" stuff runs in the family (drawing, arts, music...). I am sure my little niece will be even more artistic than us. I thoroughly enjoy seeing her doing her crafts (of course supervised by mama) and the messy bits are 'astract' arts, no? ;P
