Just Thursday

Sophie has not recovered yet so she has not been sleeping well. As a result, Mama has also been losing sleep at night. At the moment, Mama has 3 ulcers (2 already merging into 1 super crater) in her mouth, swollen gums and an impending cough brewing. And today, Sophie was taken to Eu Yen Sang again... Mama had to take cab with her in the morning. Dr Wong wanted her to sleep without aircon, her lungs are weak and she needs some medicine to regain the balance once she recovers.

On the way back was quite painful. There was no cab, even though we were at the taxi stand. I was silly enough to buy groceries before we headed for home so I had to carry the bags with my left hand and let Sophie sit on my right arm. I whined and complained while waiting and suddenly, Sophie started raising her arm whenever a cab drove past. She would also look at the cab and then smile at me. I burst out laughing then. My little cheeky monkey was hailing a cab for her mama!

Home at last! But it was also the beginning of my frenzy lunch preparation for Sophie. Fortunately, she was quite agreeable today especially after I gave her an animal biscuit. She started playing and talking to it. Then she kissed it several times, apparently reluctant to eat it. Finally, the biscuit became a little too soggy to play so I told her to "mum mum". To my surprise, my little munckin said "byebye" to the biscuit and waved at it before putting the whole thing into her mouth. What a delightful sight!

  1. so cute. Thats a good way to tell her to leave the playgrounds or toys she sees but cant buy at the shopping ctr. I do that with my gals and it works.
