I apologise for not doing my research before doing the craft today. Apparently, the candy cane that I made is not "liquorice" at all. Liquorice should to be black with the extract of the roots of the liquorice plant. The one I have made is just a traditional candy cane flavored with cinnamon or peppermint, usually associated with Christmas. Also, it seems like I am not the only one who thinks all candy sticks are liquorice sticks...
Anyway, Sophie was relatively docile today. She completed her part rather quickly. Occasionally, she gave me a few adorable looks of mischief and I had to "encourage" her to finish painting. I really enjoyed watching her "talk" while she was painting. While Sophie's "l" was drying, I made the lollipop and "liquorice" candy cane with jumping clay. It was hard for her to watch me without doing anything so I gave her some as well. The little lump of white clay very quickly became purple...
Actually, I think my lollipop looks a little strange too. I should not have twisted the red and white jumping clay. Guess it was just not my day...
End Product - "l" For lollipop/liquorice candy cane
