We started the day with two little garden gnomes stomping around at the lobby while waiting for Papa's car. It was cold so the kids put on their jackets. Then Sophie pulled her hood over and started to sing her song about garden gnomes. I think she's quite ingenious to make up a song that sounded quite good actually. Alfee picked up the song immediately and both were soon happily singing (or creating a din).
At Cherrytots, Alfee was his usual cheeky self. The teachers are starting to see more of his assertive and expressive self. He was able to show his displeasure and protest whenever he had to comply. Although he's less stubborn compared to Sophie, he's definitely not shy about expressing himself.
I think he's ready to move on to Nursery 1 despite my fears and worries. He still needs help and care but he has to learn independence now and I'm getting in his way. Now it's time for me to step back as a protector and let him venture out on his own. Hopefully, he'll find himself and develop a healthy identity for himself. He's now more than just our son or Sophie's baby brother... he's Alfee Loy.
