School officially starts today, but both kids are still on a slow but steady road to recovery. Thus, they are kept home until next week. She even skipped her ballet class because I really don't know how weak her immune system is at the moment.
I don't know what other 5-year-olds are like, but we find Sophie very creative and eager to establish her own unique identity with whatever she can get her hands on. She loves little trinkets so when she saw the charm bracelets hung around the bed posts, she was grinningly happily to herself.
And just before bed, she took out her play dough and started making a figurine on her own. She has seen me create one before and she remembered how I did it. I must say, I'm quite impressed how she learns... sometimes.
