Much To Do About Nothing Much

We are still trying to get back on the routine we have established prior to our trip. The house looks neglected so I'm also trying to set things straight again. Somehow, I feel obligated to tidy up Sophie's room first. Maybe I'm hoping to lure her back to her own bed. She hasn't gone back to sleep on her own bed at night since we came back. She's scared again. Alfee has lost all the toilet training prior to the trip. At first, we were still able to take him to the toilet and he would tell us when he needed to go. Then the diarrhoea came and both kids are now very conscious and wary about their poo poo and wee wee. Alfee now prefers not to go diaper less and I think Sophie wishes that as well.

We managed to do some mosaic art together without many neck throttling incidents. Sophie was trying her best to teach Alfee and he was trying even harder not to lose focus and wander off. Sadly, both my kids aren't the sort who would be content with monotonous work such as these. They would rather scream and run against the wind.

After some tidying up, I found myself wondering how on Earth Sophie got so many dolls! I remember at one point, barely a year and a half ago, I was thinking if I should get her dolls since she's a girl after all. Then her 4th birthday came and she received a couple of dolls for presents. Next came Christmas, she received some more dolls... And now, she has a box, not counting those plush kind of dolls.

I managed to threaten Sophie into practising her Yamaha repertoire for the performance on Saturday. It was really challenging to practise with Alfee screaming and fooling around at the background. She lost focus easily so this was considered very good already. I'm quite proud that slowly, but steadily, she's gaining more control over herself... Keep it up, my dear!
