Sophie saw the bottles of paint I put on the shelf next to the easel and got excited. I knew that presentation is very important to the kids. Previously, I tried to keep the place neat by putting the bottles in a big plastic box below the easel. Nobody was keen to paint. In fact, the kids just ignored the easel all together.
Nowadays, I try not to interfere with her painting. She habitually asks me how to do it or if she can do it in a particular way. And I would tell her she can either do everything her own way or ask me and do it my way wholeheartedly. Of course, she prefers not to ask me after that.
