Contact Paper Art

Auntie Kar Keng asked me what contact paper was so I showed her what it is and how to use it for art. Of course, there are many ways to use it but this is my favourite way. It's extremely useful for young children especially if they aren't very comfortable with glue yet. And since there is no glue involved, no drying is necessary and it can be instantly displayed. Also, it's a giant piece of sticky tape and you can stick almost anything on it. However, I will refrain from adding glitter or glitter glue.

Alfee was initially pretty listless when I put him a highchair and stopped him to touching anything on the counter. He also didn't appreciate the piece of crumpled plastic with grids that I had secured in front of him. Then he got a lot more energetic when I peeled off the backing and gave him the items to stick on. He still didn't like the sticky feeling but it was fun to him.

The end product was fantastic so I made a little frame for it to display in our house. Soon, I feel... our house would be covered with works of art again.
