During her Chinese enrichment class, they baked some cookies with marshmallows inside. Sophie told me she would eat only one and save the other for Alfee. I thought that was very sweet of her. She might be competitive and jealous of the attention Alfee gets from us, but that never stops her from being the big sister she is. She knows what's right and what she has to do. So, I told her Alfee was coughing and she could have both. And she gobbled both up happily. Such innocence...
Back home, I fixed up the display bookshelf I bought from Motherhood Bulk Purchase. It took 2 months to arrive but the wait was worth it. I spent 45 minutes fixing up 2 such shelves and a toy organiser. But it was setting up Sophie's cozy reading corner that gave me a lot of satisfaction. I have always wanted to give her a nice, cosy area for reading. After almost 5 years, I finally fulfilled my promise.
When Alfee saw Sophie sitting on her beanbag and reading, he ran to his room and grabbed his beanbag. Then he put himself next to her, picked up a book and started reading too! This gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
