Sam's Birthday

We haven't been invited for birthday parties or playgroups by Sophie's schoolmates very often. I think we are not very sociable parents and we don't have that many things in common with others. Poor Sophie, she likes attending parties. So when Sam's mummy invited us, we were very happy to attend even though we don't really know anyone there.

Their house is huge with a nice big garden that can fit a slide structure, a swing and a trampoline very comfortably. Honestly, I wish our kids have such space to run around. Maybe then we could all have our own space. Sam's parents engaged a magician, a balloonist and a satay cum remy burger cook for the party. The kids simply loved the programme and the adults loved the food! At the end of the show, the kids also get to crack a pinata and grab some extra treats.

Cake cutting was hilarious. We were so worried that Sophie would blow the candles that we hovered around her and warned her repeatedly. Then to our horror, it was Alfee who blew the candles off!!! Sam's parents had to light them again so that he could have a shot at them.

After the party, we thanked our host and made our way to Sophie's art class. She was all sweaty and tired but she still wanted to attend her art class. For that, I am so proud of her! Trust me... we celebrated.
